Welwyn Garden City is a straight run down the A1(M) and we work there most weeks. It is a planned town like Stevenage, just older: Ebenezer Howard's second garden city, laid out from 1920, so the neo-Georgian housing around Parkway, Handside and Sherrards Wood is now a hundred years old in places.
